Medical Directors Dr. Gregory Bartha, Dr. Robert Vogel, Dr. James Corwin, and Dr. Richard Reese oversee each HospiceMidland care team, assuring that the patients and the care team have the resources and support they need. The patient and their families direct the team.
Nursing services include in-home visits from registered nurses as often as needed. On each visit the nurse assesses the needs of the patient and family.
HospiceMidland nurses also work with the patient's physician and the medical directors to manage pain and other symptoms. In addition, there are 24-hour on-call nurses who are always available in case of emergencies.
Home care aides preserve the dignity and privacy of patients while providing important personal care services. These certified professionals provide assistance in personal hygiene including bathing, hair and nail care, shaving and changing of linens. They also demonstrate personal care routines to the patient's caregiver.
